Only 3 minutes of your time.

The Stranger Test.

Ten quick questions about your profile, your posts and the path from a view to a sale, answered the way a stranger sees them. You get a verdict on where your Instagram is leaking strangers, the one thing we'd fix first, and how long it takes. Free.

How it works

  1. Start. Ten quick questions, three minutes, on your phone. Three of them ask you to glance at your own profile; answer from memory if you'd rather.

  2. Done. Your verdict shows straight away: the first of five parts of your account where a stranger loses you. If nothing breaks, it says so, and we won't sell you anything.

  3. You get. The written read in your inbox, straight away: your scorecard across all five parts, three moves for the one that broke with the minutes each takes, and what to leave alone.

The six verdicts

  1. Your feed could belong to anyone. The profile. The thirty seconds a stranger gives you before they scroll on.
  2. Nobody's in the frame. The frame. Who a stranger sees doing something.
  3. You're posting for the people who already come in. The audience. Whether your reach is strangers or regulars.
  4. Views, no visits. The chain. View, visit, tap, buy.
  5. It's direction, not effort. The system. Whether the week is decided or improvised.
  6. Leave it alone. Nothing broke.
